I love Denver

I've been in the state for about 32 hours now and dare I say love at first sight?

Being here feels like when I would go on a confirmation retreat or a trip with LCM and you're trying to savor every moment knowing that the week it going to fly by. But then I remember that I'm here for the next year and it's only been one night and I find myself baffled that I get to call this beautiful place my home. 

8/25/25:

• Woke up to a car alarm going off and was delighted to be informed by Paige as I stumbled down the stairs in my Grinch print pajama bottoms that it was not either of our cars that was deciding to scream.  
• Decided this was the perfect opportunity to shower. Because the house is meant for 10 people, and there are only 4 of us(not counting the seminary student living on the third floor) I got to claim space to put all my stuff in the haunted bathroom under the stairs. 
• Met up, coffee in hand, to discuss our conflict styles with one another and how we want to be approached if and when the time arises that we need to resolve something amongst us house mates. 
• Lunch!
• Departed for our service sites! Paige and I are working a block away from one another so we ventured most of the way together, and then I entered SAME Cafe for the first time of many! Got a tour from Ember (he's a gem!) and then because it was peak busy hours they didn't have much (or anything) for me to do so I came back to the house.
• Called Maria who was on her layover in Chicago
• Ate yet another bagel
• Laid on my bed and messaged people until Paige and Brynn got home. They came into my room, Brynn had floor time and Paige sat in the chair in my room and we all chatted for a bit, then went downstairs to read until Ellie got home. 
• Made breakfast for dinner(pancakes, eggs, and smoothies)
• Called Ally for a bit and got to hear about their first day of non-training OL stuff!
• Now sitting on the couch downstairs waiting for my house mates to come down to maybe play JackBox? We're all still getting settled and unpacked so I think some chill time may also be needed. Anyways, that's all from me today!
